Get all application materials and information from the college to
which you plan to apply. Check filing dates. Check all rules that apply
to your school. (For example, some schools do not automatically defer
students to their regular admissions pool, if they are not selected
under an early program.)
If you have not yet done so, schedule a campus visit as soon as possible and an interview, if appropriate.
Complete on-line Senior questionnaire NOW and let us know in the
Guidance Office of your intention to apply early. Give us the
institution’s name and the due date for the application.
Check to see if all required recommendations are on file in the
Guidance Office. If they are not, see your teachers immediately and let
them know you are applying early and that your recommendations are
needed in the Guidance Office.
If you haven’t already done so, please schedule an appointment
with Myra Ross to review your plans, due dates, etc. She will need to
meet with you prior to October 15th, if possible. Appointment slots are
filled up quickly, so complete your questionnaire today!
Be sure all necessary testing (SAT reasoning and subject) will be
completed on time. Most schools receive October test results in time.
Plan to "Rush" scores from November testing, if necessary. It is your
responsibility to send your SAT scores directly to the college.
Plan to attend the Early Decision/Early Action Workshop in mid-September, the date and time are listed on the back cover of your Senior Handbook.
