Lab Science Course

Open to students in grades: 11, 12

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Geometry and Algebra I or IMP I; or by permission of the Department Head

This course provides a broad overview of physics topics with an emphasis on conceptual development and applications of science. Topics will include classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, and modern physics. Less emphasis is placed on mathematical modeling than in our other physics offerings. Students will read, write, perform investigative activities, and solve problems using mathematical and conceptual reasoning. This course is recommended for all college-bound students.
